Artist Alfredo Jaar speaks to New Museum, Kraus Family Curator, Gary Carrion-Murayari about his exhibition "1+1+1: Works by Alfredo Jaar" which was on view at the New Museum from January 15 – April 19, 1992. The show was originally curated by Madeleine Grynsztejn for the La Jolla Museum of Contemporary Art. Jaar's first solo museum exhibition in New York featured ground-breaking bodies of work investigating the Brazilian mining industry, Vietnamese refugees in Hong Kong, and industrial development in Africa.
