Presented at the culmination of the 2021 Triennial, “Soft Water Hard Stone,” this panel considered the relationship between memory and creative practice, with particular attention to the legacies of colonialism. Featuring Triennial artists Amy Lien and Enzo Camacho, Tanya Lukin Linklater, and catalogue contributor and poet Eunsong Kim, the panel was moderated by co-curator Jamillah James, Senior Curator at the Institute of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles (ICA LA) and incoming Manilow Senior Curator at the Museum of Contemporary Art (MCA) in Chicago.
