Artist and filmmaker Ericka Beckman speaks to New Museum curator Margot Norton about her landmark film Cinderella (1986) and exhibition "Sets from Cinderella,” which was on view in the New Museum's lobby when it was located on Broadway in 1986. "Sets from Cinderella" was curated by Brian Wallis, and was on view concurrently with a group exhibition he also curated, "Damaged Goods" (1986), which explored ideas of desire and economy of the object in consumer culture.
