Curator, writer, and musician Barry Blinderman speaks to New Museum curator Margot Norton about the exhibition “Sweet Oblivion: The Urban Landscape of Martin Wong,” which he guest curated at the New Museum in 1998. Blinderman discusses his relationship with Wong as his gallerist when he was director of Semaphore Gallery in downtown Manhattan from 1980-87, as well as his experience working with Wong on his New Museum exhibition.
