Rachel Rossin’s interdisciplinary practice, which spans VR, installation, painting, and sculpture, explores the construction, perception, and embodied experience of virtual space. For this screening and conversation, timed for evening audiences in the US and morning audiences in Beijing and Seoul, the artist joined Michael Connor, Artistic Director of Rhizome, to discuss the interplay between the body, reality, and simulation in her work. This event was presented in conjunction with Rossin’s participation in “World on a Wire,” the first exhibition in a new partnership between Hyundai Motor Company and Rhizome, the New Museum’s digital art affiliate, to showcase leading digital art globally.
